I'm not sure who benefits more from true acts of kindness - the person receiving, or the person lending the helping hand. When you reach out to someone in need, the feeling of goodwill is as rewarding to the one giving their time, money, shoulder, wisdom, ear to listen, words of advice, encouragement - whatever it is... as it is to the person receiving the good deed.
"It's not always about donating money... I'd have you consider that in many circumstances, the value of your time far exceeds the impact of your money."
Go do something good for someone today. Open a door. Push someones busted, broken car down the street while they steer, take someone to lunch, call someone, answer someones call, listen to a friend rant... it's not always about you.
